![]() ![]() Hideouts in the Volga Artyom can use hideouts to escape from enemies chasing him. The small islands don't have any spots where you can rest. In the Volga, you won't find any workbenches in the northern part of the map. You will find them by doing the main missions. The map above shows hidden modifications to equipment and weapons, as well as some of the more interesting locations in Volga. There are eight workbenches in the Volga. WAY TOO many Manimals -Out of the way special locations have little pay off for the time needed to reach them(The Hermit in particular) -Takes alot of time to get through, but not much happens plot wise. Interesting Interior locales Cons: -Night/Storm conditions actually make it harder to stealth because ambient light levels determine enemy sight range, thus allowing enemies to see you when you can't see them. Pro: -Better spacing between points of interest such as bandits and caches -Less wasted space -More noncombat encounters with nonnamed locals (Up to 5 peaceful encounters with cultists) -Good variety of monsters, no overuse of Manimals -Night/Day has strong tactical effects, plus at least 1 change to NPC Cultist encounter Cons: -Boats suck and will just get you killedĬaspian: Pro: -More interesting villain with regular radio broadcasts -More scripted encounters with enemies set to triggers based on player location that give the illusion of the bad guys reacting to your actions. In my opinion Volga was the better open map. ![]()
